This includes, but is not limited to liking or repining posts, commenting on posts, or sharing posts. Additionally, contacting The M.A.D. Therapy and/or it's clinicians via e-mail or social media does not indicate the establishment of a therapeutic relationship. A therapeutic relationship is ONLY established by seeing a clinician at The M.A.D. Therapy for therapy sessions in an office or school-based setting. Social Media Policy Disclaimer

The content on The M.A.D. Therapy's website and social media are for marketing, advocating, and educational purposes only. The M.A.D. Therapy, PLLC or any of it's associated counselors social media pages and websites are not psychotherapy, a replacement for therapy services or relationship, or a replacement for  therapy services or medical or mental health care. Social media or a social media presence is not a not a request for a rating, endorsement or request from previous or current clients. No social media content or posts should be considered professional advice, as this information is for educational purposes only.

 

Clients, past and current, have the choice to like, follow, comment, re-post, direct message, and engage on social media with counselors, but this should be done at their own risk and with the understanding that this is a risk to their privacy and confidentiality. Commenting and messaging between session times are not confidential or encouraged, as they are not appropriate means for addressing crisis, questions, or concerns with your therapist. Please schedule an official session with your therapist to discuss any treatment questions or concerns. 

 

In order to honor professional boundaries and not engage in dual-relationship, previous and current clients will not be followed or friended on social media by counselors on all social media platforms.

The purpose and mission of The M.A.D. Therapy is to provide basic/general mental health services in their office setting, and information/tips via online social media and The M.A.D. Therapy's blog to the general public. The purpose and mission is also to promote encouragement and provide a safe space to learn more about mental health topics. Materials and content shared by the authors/publishers of The M.A.D. Therapy have been reviewed and best efforts have been made in preparation of said materials. However, research and knowledge is continuously changing and evolving. Thus, The M.A.D. Therapy and it's clinicians make no warranties in regards to the current accuracy, appropriateness to specific individuals or completeness of the contents and materials on or associated with The M.A.D.
